Additional information, based on the non-fiction book, A Midwife’s Tale – The Life of Martha Ballard, Based on Her Diary, 1785-1812 by Laurel Ulrich, will be shared. Learn about colonial medicine at that period, the role of a midwife versus the role of a doctor, and the herbs that were used to treat illnesses.
